If you decide to continue, Mustard offers flexible monthly plans to run additional creator visits. There is no obligation to continue after the sponsored campaign.

How many videos will I receive?

Under the Chowbus-sponsored pilot, each restaurant will receive 1 creator visit that results in a short-form video post featuring your restaurant.

The content can help showcase your food, atmosphere, and brand to local audiences.

Do I get to approve creators?

Yes. Local creators will apply to visit your restaurant, and you can review their profiles before approving the visit. This allows you to confirm they are a good fit before they come in.

What do I need to provide?

Getting started takes just a few minutes. You will need to provide:

Basic restaurant information
Your Instagram account (if available)
A food credit amount for the visiting creator
A few menu items you recommend they feature

Once submitted, Mustard handles the outreach to local creators for you.

Is this really free for my restaurant?

Yes. Chowbus is covering the Mustard campaign fee for this pilot program. Participating restaurants only need to provide a food credit for the visiting creator, just like you would for a media tasting or food blogger visit. There is no Mustard subscription required to participate in this Chowbus-sponsored campaign.

Can I upgrade or change my plan later?

Yes. You can upgrade to a different plan anytime. Your account, creators, and campaign history stay the same.

What happens if a creator fails to deliver content?

Mustard automatically tracks whether creators deliver their content after a visit.

If a creator fails to post, the collaboration is automatically flagged in your dashboard so you can quickly invite or approve another creator.

Because creators apply to your campaign and confirm their visit in advance, most collaborations are completed successfully. And with access to 175,000+ creators across hundreds of cities, it’s easy to replace a creator if needed.

The plan mentions “45K local reach.” What does that mean?

“45K local reach” refers to the estimated number of unique local users who will see your restaurant featured across influencer posts each month. This number is based on the combined follower count and average viewership of the three local food influencers we match you with.

Actual reach may vary slightly depending on your location and the influencers selected, but our platform prioritizes creators with strong local engagement to maximize visibility and foot traffic.

How does the food comp work?

As part of your monthly plan, each influencer receives a food credit (typically $25–$200) in the form of a digital voucher issued through Mustard’s platform. This voucher is redeemed at your restaurant and helps prevent fraud or confusion between influencers and staff.

You choose the comp amount, and we handle communication and logistics—no reimbursements, no hassle. The comp covers their meal in exchange for authentic social media posts about your restaurant.

Are tips included in the food comp?

No, tips are not included in the food comp. While the influencer's meal is covered by the restaurant, gratuity is appreciated and typically at the restaurant's discretion. If you’d like to include a tip as part of the comp, just let us know during setup.
